Vintage suitcases and trunks are resurfacing as creative reuse projects. This version that I spotted at the Bachman Fall Idea's House was unique, though, with its layers for storage and satin interior. They turned the top inside of the suitcase into a memory board for photos (a fun and easy upgrade to that space) while the bottom layer became shelves to organize books and other side-table accessories.
This is one example of the great suitcase comeback! Re-Nest has written about several suitcase reuse projects (links below) that will help keep these keepsakes out of the garbage. You can find these at garage sales, estate sales, and antique stores.
