Rather than getting worked up about it, I realized that the whole purpose of creating our summer list was to have ideas on-the-ready when the opportunity arose. It is not a to do list meant to make you feel guilty for not having accomplished every entry. What we end up not fitting in by the time summer is over can still be done in the fall, next summer, or replaced by different activities with the family.
Meg Duerksen and her family have been making a summer list for the past few years (2010 is above) and it's a great starting point of inspiration. So consider bookmarking her list for next year if you wish you'd gotten more out of your summer this year.
