Summer Tablescaping in a Shaker Home

Every summer we go to visit friends up in the Berkshires. Their family lives in a remarkable series of buildings, which once comprised a small Shaker village. It's a magical place, which I've documented pretty fully in the past (see below), but last weekend I got to do one of my favorite things and do the table for dinner.

Some pics from inside and outside the house

It's amazing to work with a really old room and really old elements, weaving flowers and moss into the mix. This is the sort of thing that's not only a great weekend project, but it also makes a huge impact. People really enjoy sitting down to a well done table. Enjoy the pics and use them as inspiration for your next table!
