  • Autor John Berendt gave up on buying premade calendar/planners and now makes his own with ruler, pen and rubber stamps. This warms our DIY heart.

  • "More than 11,000 traffic lights and "Don't Walk" signals in New York City have been switched to light-emitting diodes that use 90 percent less energy than conventional fixtures." So this explains what we've been seeing. This is amazingly smart and good news.

  • The Anti Rape Condom literally has teeth. In the annals of design history, this is remarkable. This should have been in Paola Antonelli's "SAFE" show at MoMA.

  • Walking on cobblestones have a proven health benefit. You can even buy them in mat form for you home.

  • Finally, a His & Her Television! But seriously, Sharp has introduced what they call a "controlled-viewing-angle LCD", which allows two people to watch two different things at the same time.

  • Clocky, the runaway alarm clock by Gauri Nanda. This new design has taken off, as stubborn sleepers LOL. The problem is not them, it's the clock! Here's Nanda's site.
