While Abbott Kinney and La Brea (Montana and Melrose while we're at it) have some of the greatest restored/vintage furniture shops we’ve ever seen, the further east you go the more endless the possibilities become... and often for so much less, especially if you want to recover or redo what you buy yourself.
Sunset Orange is one more reason to come east. There is not always a lot to look at. Sometimes you have to settle for checking out the cool art on the walls.
But sometimes there are things like this: Unbelievably gorgeous Danish folding chairs. Please take heed: the good folks in Silverlake are competitive but they aren’t stupid. These chairs were near perfect and you’ll pay for it.
If you’re a sucker for design, watching these stunningly, crafted chairs fold is what makes you say, “$450 each? Worth it.”

The good gentlema at Sunset Orange ALWAYS have soemthing wonderful to pick up in their store and if you are very very nice they will explain to neophites like myself the intricacies of midcentury fabrics! I had no idea - it was a whole new world. Their product is always beautiful and amsaing I coveted a tile table for ages (dumb me - it went fast) their prices are very reasonable for the merch they are seling and they never turn up their noses at nosey inquisitive pets like myself.
