There are a lot of things you don't want to super size but a felt board isn't one of them. Academic turned artist/crafter Melissa Crowe was commissioned by an Arts Center to make this large-scale felt board for children, but we think it's perfectly suited for home use especially as a dollhouse alternative for children who live in small spaces.
Melissa's board is fairly large at 36" x 48", but you could choose any size that works for you and your home. She's sewn the background to the board and the all the felt accessories can be moved, rearranged and played with. Felt boards are a great tool for encouraging creative play and it doesn't hurt that this one is really beautiful.

great inspiration! i'm making a felt board for my son this year and i was just looking for ideas for more shapes to create. thank you!
(quick note: sewn is misspelled. sown refers to spreading seeds, sewn is the past tense of sew.)
anatomist - thanks, just a typo. i do appreciate it!
