Name: Spencer (7 weeks)
Location: Northridge, CA
Color Inspiration: We wanted a room that would work for a boy or a girl, because we decided to wait to find out the sex of our baby until delivery; we felt like green was gender-neutral enough, and chose a green that was vibrant and fun. The hearts above the crib are from my own nursery and I knew I would be using them in the decor, so they set the mood for a bright, colorful space. The yellow pin-stripe in the wallpaper was inspired by the John Deere tractor quilt that our son got as a gift when he arrived in the NICU, where he stayed for 5 weeks after being born 2 months early.
Tip for Using Color: Even if you have a strong vision of what you want, remain willing to compromise. I knew I wanted a green and white nursery but my husband was concerned all that green would be overwhelming; we compromised by adding the chair rail and using light wallpaper below it. I love the finished look so much more than I would have had we gone with solid green walls, so it worked out wonderfully.
Colors Used: Martha Stewart's Verdant Green in eggshell.
Thanks for your colorful entry Brandyn and good luck!

Go Spencer! You are one little dude with lots of color!
Love the use of green and white!
Fun and unique!
The green walls are a great base for the other colors!
I love the green - not too intense, but not pale like a typical nursery.
I love that there's a lot of color without feeling busy or overwhelming. Great job!
Love the green walls and how you've got so many different colors in his room. It coordinates without being matchy. I love his bookshelves too!
Adorably fun and inspirational for this mom to be! Jealous I didn’t have a nursery just like it!
Love, love, love! Spencer is a lucky little guy.
I love the vintage board games as wall art. Everything is so refreshingly quirky, colorful, and personal. Please come do mine!
Love the John Deere tractor tie-in! This is a great room for adults as well as kids, lot's to see...
Does anyone know what kind of crib that is?
Thanks for the kind words, everyone! Being included in this contest is so exciting!

We were holding out for the Ikea Gulliver crib, but ran out of time! We are super happy with this one!
Thanks! I love it.
Love it. The green on the walls is amazing and the goose floor lamp is precious.
Thanks, @sarashea! The goose lamp was my own nightlight when I was a baby, I'm so glad that now it's Spencer's! The rocking horse, stick pony, & lamb on top of the wardrobe were also pieces from my nursery that my mom held on to.
Awesome for Spencer. His mom must be just like Mrs. Cleaver or Mrs. Partridge.
Love the whole thing. The meaning behind so many of the pieces adds the sweetest personal touch.
Love the rich green. I have wanted a room this color for a while, and I think you are right that the paper & chair rail help keep it from overwhelming without losing the color.
Love it! The green is a perfect back drop to an eclectic design. Its great you have items from your nursery as a baby, and already some meaningful items for Spencer, like the quilt. The game boards are GREAT!
So clean, fun & colorful! Love it!
Looks great and good luck!!
Beautiful nursery for a lucky little boy! LOVE the green and the sweet little touches!
I love, love, love the board games on the wall. It looks awesome!
I've been a big fan of green walls lately. Refreshing to see a non-blue boy's room!
Beautiful room, looks like you guys put a lot of work into it. Good luck. I remember those hearts!
Good luck Spencer. You are a winning baby already.
Love the room! Can you recall the green color you used? I love it!
Thanks!
