When we received an email from the folks over at Super Sprowtz we were a little taken aback. Not because Sprowtz was spelled funky, but because they claimed they wanted to do for food what Sesame Street did for literacy. Anyone who thinks they compare to Sesame Street better have some game and lucky for them, they do — and their puppets are pretty rad too! Check out the video after the jump!
Radha Agrawal, creator of Super Sprowtz, became deeply committed to changing the way children eat after working alongside her twin sister, Miki, launching an organic New York City restaurant called Slice. Her background as a successful commercial and film producer gave her the story-telling tools to create the Super Sprowtz characters, which are pretty darn cute if you ask us. Check them out in action in this video:
Currently you can keep watching Super Sprowtz videos online or check out their series of books for sale through their webstore. There's also an iPhone app and home videos in the works. Check out more about this great group of puppets that aim to teach kids about healthy eating and the downfalls of processed foods that don't add much to their diet other than grease and junk, over at Super Sprowtz. Don't forget to check out a few more of their videos as well — they're all ridiculously fun and catchy!
