Danish store Tine K photographs and styles their catalogs in the home of store-owner Tine Kjeldsen. Decorated with super white walls and floors, it's a lovely set for photos, but it's also an inspiring way to think about Fresh Starts. Stripping things down to their most basic can create the breathing space needed to re-invent your home.
If you have the time or inclination, clearing out a room and painting it (either white or another color) is the decorating equivalent of a cleansing fast or a silent retreat. Emptiness holds possibility.

LOVE white rooms!! Allows your stuff to pop.
Beautifully calming for the mind.
They're aesthetically interesting, but if you live in a colder climate, white rooms are just (psychologically) too chilly to live in. All that white inside, all the white outside. In the winter, I need cozy rooms.
One of the projects I hope to get to this year is to repaint my home a brighter, crisper white. My rowhouse in Alexandria VA gets a ton of light during the daytime. Hopefully, I can find the right chalky/milky white white.
I think in edited photographs white rooms look amazing, yet I think realistically most ( and even probably these) rooms are not filled with this beautiful glow.
We painted super white last year. Loved it for a while but less now. I think we will keep it in some rooms. It's great in the kitchen.
Anyone who has tried photographing a white room like these will be humbled. And the rooms are awesome as well. I guess they don't have kids ... :)
I should add that the natural materials we have look great with the white it's just the ugly stuff, the phone, the toys, and mail. It all looks a lot more apparent with super white.
It looks gorgeous in photos! I could never, ever live there though. Trying to keep the place clean would drive me nuts.
Benjamin Moore Aura Super White. It's low VOC and white white white!
While I like white, I've lived with it for several years now and am getting very tired of it. I live in a warmish, sunny climate, but after awhile white can make one feel rather anemic.
These photos are manipulated, so you are not getting a true sense of the color. I'm sure they are considerably warmer in tone.
Umm. Dear AT, please get these spammers off the website! :/
While the photos are really striking (and it DOES feel great to cleanse your home's aura or whatever), with my personality I could never live in a place like that. I need color!!!
Loved the use of white color to design your home. Gives you a nice and calming feeling when you at home.
fantastic! it looks like it could be on a greek island!
love love love. I think I might actually go with an almost all white theme in my new house. I like that it feels so clean and crisp.
love love this...i am currently painting my living room, kitchen, bathroom and halls white and i cant wait to finish and accent with other colors that i love.
I so want to paint my taupe walls a beautiful restful white. Now I just need the get up and go to get up and do it! Lovely rooms.
