The wait is almost over. We're one day away from Thanksgiving and two days away from the biggest shopping day of the year.
What are your plans for the day after Thanksgiving?
November 28 is Black Friday ... but it is also Buy Nothing Day. What will you be doing?

I am going swimming and then to our local science museum where my husband works. After that, maybe happy hour. Who wants to waste a whole day off shopping?!
I love to shop as much as, if not more than, the next girl. But I have to work on Friday. And even if I didn't, I still wouldn't hit the mall. Black Friday crowds make me claustrophobic.
Movie day-at home! Some knitting, some leftovers, some popcorn, and a lot of movies. :)
I picked other because I won't be eating turkey (vegetarian) but won't be shopping either. I will probably sleep in and alternate reading and watching movies. I suspect the cats and bunnies will encourage me to nap extensively :-)
i am eating about 6 of those sandwiches...then passing out.
I gotta admit - I'll be out there hitting the sales. In this economy, saving even a little bit off that special gift or gadget really helps.
I just try to make a plan, and only try to pick up things that I came for.
I work in a community center, with a food pantry, senior meals and other such services. We'll be open. I'll be working.
eating leftovers, watching movies, and sadly doing homework. :(
Other. The day after Thanksgiving is my baking day. I bake pumpkin rolls in preparation for all the December and early January festivities and events. They freeze well, and that way some of my later holiday stress is prevented.
As for shopping, all my family lives elsewhere, so my holiday gifts are either already in the mail or will be mailed this week. Circumstances have forced me to be organized and plan ahead. Besides, I'm with christinalouise, the crowds are just too much for me!
We always decorate Mom's house for Christmas on the day after Thanksgiving. Christmas trees, garlands, ornaments, and a wreath on the front door.
i will either be shopping for my dad because he doesn't have the day off and is addicted to electronics or doing work at home (and not getting paid for it) because my boss had the great idea of putting 2 week deadline a month's worth of work. That sandwich makes my insides giggle with anticipation.
I work retail. I'll be at work.
75% off at the Salvation Army in the morning.
Shopping at some independent local businesses! To get supplies to make my Winter Holiday gifts!
I picked other because we're going to the Williamsburg Pottery Factory & WalMart (I need a new vacuum!!) and then wrapping Christmas gifts & enjoying leftovers!
Hanging out with family...enjoying the day, screw the crabby retail employees who are stressed out, and the over crowded malls.
