A friend and his expectant wife recently returned from a babymoon on the beaches of Honduras. They report that it was a wonderful way to relax, slow down and reconnect before their baby’s birth in March. So we're wondering, did you take a last hoorah? If so, where did you go and would you recommend it?

Last year (at 6 months) we took advantage of a friend's wedding in Miami (at the time it was snowing in Colorado). We got in a few days early and stayed late. The weather was just right and it was the perfect time to lay by the pool and float in the ocean! Usually on vacation I feel like I need to get out and see the sights, but with my ever growing belly and some issues with my hip I was able to just relax. At night we ate at nice restaurants and every afternoon we had ice cream. It was a beautiful babymoon.
Not sure if it counts, but we did take one before I was preggo. We had been "trying" for a few months, but we knew this would be our last hurrah pre-children. We took a cruise to Bermuda.
We took a smaller weekend get away when I was in my 2nd trimester. We stayed at a nice B&B and went to fancy restaurants.
And yes, I recommend it!
If I had to do the first pregnancy all over, I think we would have gone on vacation for a week and seen a movie every day. I was forced onto bed rest for part of the first and all of the third trimester, which sounds fun but isn't.
LOL. We went to see Elton John in Las Vegas! :]
We took advantage of a cousin's wedding on Cape Cod. saw family for a day or two, and then we hung out on a private beach the rest of the time. had yummy food in front of a fireplace most days. it was heavenly.
I'm due in a couple of months, and sadly, I don't think we have time to squeeze in a holiday. I would have LOVED to spend a week lying on a beach and being mercifully -- if only temporarily -- buoyant in the ocean somewhere. But we're hoping to get to Hawaii or Mexico in the fall. Fingers crossed.
when I was 6 months preg we spent 3 days on the amalfi coast and then another 7 in the 5 terre in the north of Italy.
if you can I strongly reccomend taking a break together, 'cos you can forget pleasant dinners in some nice restaurant and strolling around towns hand in hand for a very long time
soon we'll be going on a 7 day holiday together, just the two of us, after almost 3 years, and boy do we need it (exilarating and heart breaking at the same time, 7 days without our little monster!)
