I have 2 wide screen 17" screens at work, I love it for having mail open in one and work or a browser in the other. Using spaces and expose as well means I have endless screen space.

Just the one old mac crt display at home. Or the laptop. I would like to get a similar setup at home to what I have at work eventually, but it's low priority for the moment.

At work yes, mail, music and background processes in one, active processes in the other.
At home, I don't even usually bother bringing the laptop to the upstairs office anymore, just carry it around and just plug it in, if necessary, in the kitchen.

Once you start using a multimonitor setup, it's hard to go back. It's easy to control clutter with proper cable management.

i used to have 3 19" LCD's for the work i do. but i found those to be too small. so now i have a 19, a 24" for xls and regular work, and a 22" in portrait mode to read those long articles and endless emails.

2 17"s on the desktop, and a 14" wxga portable sitting next to it (at the moment). I might eventually give up the desktop (when this baby starts taking up more room) but the monitors are sooo nice.

oh i will never give up my 21" syncmaster hooked up to my mbp... it gets some awfully weird looks when people walk into my girly, college-kid apartment covered in coordinating colors and modern furniture... it doesn't necessarily go with my aesthetic but function over form, in this case!

1 X 19" monitors @ work and 2 X19" monitors @home. I have refused to upgrade to 20" @work since I cant afford to buy 2 new @0" lcds for home :(
