Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw has always been a bit of a Luddite. It took Miranda getting knocked up for the fashionista to finally get a cell phone. She had an old and teeny CRT television in her living room for all six seasons, she gabbed on an old rotary by her bed, and she didn't have email until Aidan.

It was a bit shocking for us over here to see her remodel her now famous apartment in the Sex and the City movie and see a flat screen installed on one of her living room walls...

We love the idea of placing a cushy bench underneath the TV. While we doubt anyone could comfortably sit there without banging into the flatscreen above, we do like that it softens up the area visually. Plus, for those times when you need to quickly pop a squat in order to tie your shoes (or in Carrie's case, slip on some Manolos) it's the perfect temporary resting spot.

A huge change from this.
