Jewelry designer and Austinite Jennifer Perkins has been collecting photos of jewelry displays for awhile now, interested in the different ways in which people display the jewelry they love. Well, we're interested in the different ways in which AT readers display their jewelry! Specifically, does your jewelry become apart of your decor?

Having them on display is just a bit too busy for me.
I have my necklaces exactly as shown, on hooks on the side of my dresser. My dresser is about 6" from the wall, so you never see the mess of the necklaces, just the nice jewlery box sitting on top :)
I have so much cheap costume jewelry that it would be virtually impossible for me to hide. Which suits my magpie tenancies just fine. I have a jewelry "shrine" in my bedroom - a beat-up old wood medicine cabinet on a vintage vanity that is more or less crammed with baubles. One of my favourite things to look at in my apartment...
I use a ribbon clothesline on the wall across from my work table (I'm also a jewelry designer)
I have them hung on coffee cup hooks and held up by pushpins on a big piece of cork board.
Ick. I do not understand the desire to have all this clutter in view. My jewelry is in one drawer, made easier to find with the use of two clear plastic, stackable silverware drawer inserts from one of those bed/bath box stores. Works great, and there's No Clutter!
Did this on hooks in my bathroom (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ooh_food/2960949439/in/set-72157608233873546/) but sometimes I wonder if, during parties, guests are tempted to try it on or steal it! It's so convenient to have to all on hooks to choose from in the morning.
I did this when I was 10.
Displaying jewelry can easily look way too messy, but when done right it looks good. I have an 1890s sterling silver earring tree on my dresser, and display my favorite pairs of earrings on that.
Confession: I'm dying to buy a large bust of Marie Antoinette so I can display my pink Lucite fleur-du-lis choker and Holly Golightly-esque fake pearls on it.
I don't like the idea of displaying jewelry all over your house as this makes everything look way too busy. I display my jewelry in my closet as hardly anyone has access to it, but me. ;)
PrettyPennyDesigns: Wasn't your beautiful jewelry currently in the paper? I'm very interested in buying some of your jewelry.
