I'm all for recycling, but that's where I draw the line. I just flush the toilet paper.
Yep. Have and use my garbage disposal. You can't (pragmatically) compost in the winter, and my neighbors wouldn't find a big pile of waiting-for-the-thaw garbage all that lovely to look at from their windows overlooking our back yards...
If not enough gray water is flushed through certain municipal water treatment systems, they cannot properly process the waste they are supposed to treat. So maybe garbage disposals use a lot, but maybe the water treatment services are calibrated with that expectation...
Ahem. Guys. When they talk about "recycled paper" they don't mean "recycle the paper" I guess.
Yep! Please call it "toilet paper make from recycled paper" rather than "recycled toilet paper" ... YUK!
I grew up in a household that used toilet paper made from recycled paper and it sucked. I'd rather a few extra trees died than have to suffer the indignity of a sore butt.
Whatever they sell at Costco, I buy. Talk to the folks in Kirkland.
ROFLMAO honestly. does anyone really believe this is about recycling used toilet paper??
i use only toilet paper made of recycled paper. we are wasting enough resources as it is - why would we need to use paper of first quality for that purpose? they make toilet paper out of recycled paper that is as good as the other kind these days. (some things actually changed since you grew up, nikkibee.)
Those pillows are ugly.
I haven't found any recycled toilet paper that wasn't absolutely terrible. Can someone recommend a brand that is comfortable?
I wish the premium brands would use at least a *little* bit of recycled paper. P&G is bragging on their website about how green they are, but they aren't using any at all.
Yes, actually. Marcal is pretty good. It's not cottonelle, but it's not paper mush in the hand either. I finally found Marcal after trying a bunch of different ones. You find it in large packs since it is often sold for businesses. Which actually makes it affordable too (what a relief!) You can find it at Office Depot, and probably some other big box office supply places as well.
Actually I think the Office Depot generic recycled toilet paper is in fact relabelled Marcal, since it seems about the same.
It is "100% recycled with 60% postconsumer recycled content".
I buy my recycled-paper toilet tissue by the case, from a janitorial supply house. EcoSoft by Bay West of Wausau Paper: 96 rolls in a case, 500 sheets per roll, 2 ply. It is wonderful---just the right combination of soft and sturdy.
