Does anyone know anything about the pendant in the 4th "modern industrial" photo? Kind of looks like a bunch of coat hangers.

Rustic and, more importantly, expandable! I wish we could go more modern, but we live in a highwater craftsman and it wouldn't quite fit.

I would call my dining room style "Craigslist dramatic rustic."

I have a black distressed farm table and black chairs with rush seats. My "buffet" is an Asian-style black lacquered desk with handpainted gold and olive green designs. All from Craigslist. The walls are a deep cream above the chair rail and a dusty rose below.

I would say mine is kind of a casual rustic- I am not a fan at all of formal dining rooms or spaces.

Can anyone tell me more about the lime green chairs in the last photo?

Stealth. The Heywood Wakefield drop leaf table against the back of my sofa is my dining table. I just pull it out, open the leaves and add 2 more and I can enjoy dining with up to 8 people.

I don't know, I don't feel like any of these are really my style. I'm still working on a word for it. Library chic or something.

I would have said traditional. I inherited the set (which I love) and so decorated the context around it.

Eclectic. Throw in a little of everything and a healthy dose of casual. That's my dining style.

Mine would be Buyer's Remorse (hopefully not Diner's Remorse). I bought a Broyhill Brasilia credenza on eBay and for an extra $100 the seller threw in a table and four chairs. I know why. The table is a total piece of crap. I would take ANY of the tables in these pictures--anyone know where I could find something white and simple like the first one?

Colorful and rustic
For dining, good natural wood is a must for me, and some nice green plants for color. I've realized this is the only part of my home (as small of a corner as it is) that I have not added some sort of a bright color to (except my patterned paper lampshade which, while in that corner, really lights the entire apartment) All my dishes are a dark grey-brown earthenware and the pillows I keep on the chairs seem much less bright there than anywhere else.

I just love the first photo. But, our style is kind of a mix. We love the mixed chairs and are trying this, but ours never go quite as well. I am looking for those Marais AC chairs, but maybe a cheaper version... anyone know of anything??

Currently ours is probably a mish-mash...colorful rustic with a splash of modern?

Our dining room, which we eat all of our meals in, we recently painted "artichoke" green which I LOVE. The other things I love in the room are a recently acquired vintage server/bar cart, a print of a painting by a family member artist, and some modern fabric panel "art" we made ourselves.

Everything is super casual, except for the naturally aged brass chandelier which is original to the house (1930). Unfortunately, our table is one we got about 7 years ago shortly after we got married and was all we could afford at the time that fit our practical needs, but I don't like the style (it's more countryish)...we have a tall dish cabinet and small corner cabinet that are rustic (again, what we could afford that went but not matched with the table).

Sigh. Maybe in a year or so we can spring for the more modern, simple wood table I'm dreaming of...

WOW! I am in love with that "Mixed Rustic" table on the bottom left corner. Does anyone know who makes/sells this table. I have been without a dining table for months waiting for the perfect table. HELP!
