Some keep a little and others a lot. For most of us, our desk is the hub of information in our home. This barrage of data can sometimes get cumbersome and downright messy, leading many to opt for minimalist approach. Others, give this up entirely and let their desk be as it may. I don't keep personal things at work in case I get fired I can just walk the hell out of the door.
I keep too much personal stuff at work. If I quit, it's akin to moving.
On my desk: MacBook Pro, Epson printer, cordless mouse, flourescent lamp, a manuscript, few sheets of paper, and 2 shirt-collar stays.
I love making "deskscapes" and here's what's on my desk: http://gogoabigail.com/blog/2007/08/28/desk-scapes-and-framed-vintage-whimsies/
Along with my macbook pro and Epson scanner for scanning flea market finds (vintage photographs)!
i'm spartan on my desk at home because it's mirrored so any mess is reflected twice. my desk at work is still searching for a style. unfortunately the desk accessories one can find in office supply books are a little designed challenged.
