It's the season of giving, and we know (via comments) that some of you will be making donations to charities rather than giving gifts this year. Or maybe you're asking that friends and family make donations on your behalf, instead of giving you things that you don't need?
In any event, we're curious to know what your charity of choice is.
Does your money go to Habitat for Humanity? The Nature Conservancy? The World Wildlife Fund? Trust for Public Land?
Or do you give your money to smaller, local organizations? Where will your money go this holiday season and why?
Pardon our blatant curiosity!

I like the Covenant House and LifeWorks locally.
For gift-giving, I like kiva.org and heifer.org because the recipient gets to give too -- double good times.
Cheers, and nice post.

We contribute to the Salvation Army and the local Open Door Mission. However, anytime we know of a specific family that is need of financial help, we try to help them as well.
I'm a fan of Doctors Without Borders - they seem to reach those most in need. I'd given to Salvation Army on occasion in the past, but then I found out they have some very anti-gay policies :(
