We were thinking about our art. We've bought it directly from the artist, and on eBay, and we've received some as gifts. We've bought it while traveling, and on Etsy.

Which made us wonder: Where do you buy your art?

But since our survey tool doesn't allow more than one response, let's qualify it: Where do you buy most of your art?

while we do buy art from artist friends and at open studios, we've purchased the majority of our pieces at harvey clars auction house in north oakland.

they have auctions monthly. the art is all over the place in terms of style and quality, but every now and again there's something worth bidding on for our house.

on saturdays, the art is of a lower quality, but it's often a good place to pick up frames for cheap.
