THANK YOU, Sarahjane, I was just about to complain about the lack of that option. Especially since, in fact, that's what the model is wearing. I'm repectfully not answering the survey because nothing else works. Pajamas? No, that implies a set purchased together. T-shirt and undies? No, that implies, well a t-shirt and underwear and while the t-shirt is correct, no underwear is slept in. A friend of mine back in college suggested no panties as a way to "air things out". A wise, wise woman.

(you know, I thought that might be too much inforamation, but after reading the whole sex/memory foam mattress discussion, I'm not sure there is such a thing on AT)

And to bring this back to decorating, I once used an embroidered Chinese robe as wall art. It wasn't hung flat, but wired to have a shape and sort of leap out from the wall.

Not that anyone really cares, but I'm a pajama and t-shirt woman too. Ruth, I thought my mom and her sisters were the only people who "aired out." Good to know. I just like PJs too much to sleep in the buff. Maybe if I were allowed to wear them to work...

I love the last line of Ruth's post. So I'll go beyond - Usually I sleep with only my little tattoo. But its cold lately. So I've gone completely perverse and wear my husband's flannel long T's and bottoms. The husband is deceased but not the memory. Very comforting and warm.

I could have just said I slept with the cat but oh, what the heck.

Ok, so it has nothing to do with decorating but it does have to do with bedrooms and weren't we talking about that recently.

Someday I'm going to found a utopian pajama colony. The pajama folk of AT are all welcome.

Can we read in bed and drink nice cups of tea or hot cocoa in your UPC (Utopian Pajama Colony)? 'Cause then it would be perfect.

When we were kids my sisters and I would steal my father's pajamas. They were nice, soft and white Brooks Bros. sets made out of pima cotten, and they had been washed soooo many times that they felt like heaven. A couple of weeks ago, I took myself to the same store he shopped in, so many years ago, and bought myself a set. I'm confident they'll wear in just like Dad's, eventually.

Camisole AND panties OR camisole AND pajama pants. I'm more likely to wear a camisole to bed than a tshirt, so I checked camisole. If I were talking about cami or tee and pajama pants, I would have just checked "pajamas" - but I often have to take off the pants, or I get too hot. Yoga pants are the most likely to stay on.

If I try to sleep in a full pair of flannel pajamas, I sweat a lot and my shoulders freeze from being outside the down comforter in the wet flannel. Sometimes I wake up sick.

There are also cami-like chemise nightgowns, and full-length faux-victorian ones, and full-length glamour ones. Not my style, but another option for ladies.

Flannel pajamas, or pajama bottoms and a t-shirt or tank top.

I hate long nightgowns because they wrap around my legs in a completely awful way.

Depends on the season. What I wear to bed in January is totally not what I wear to bed in July.

Pajamas for the cold. Also an extra layer under the pajama top. Even double back on the comforter(s) for extra warmth. But naked with a man. Who can't wait for the warm weather? Then it'll be a cami and shorts.

I only wear jammies around the house from the second I get home after work until the second I go to bed. More like loungewear for me really.

When it comes time to sleep, everything comes off. If I try to sleep in clothing, I end up getting myself all tangled, partially strangled and finally wrestle everything off of myself in the middle of the night anyway.

I like to wear nightgowns, long & short. If it gets to hot you can always pull it up. If it gets too cold you can always pull it dowm.

Ya know it all depends on my mood, if its chilly willy I steal my husbands flannel pajama pants and comfiest sweatshirt, with a nice duvet oer me :] I dont know wot this sleeping in your knickers is, I honestly enjoy my camis and flannel pants :]

I pretty much always wear nothing. If it's cold, I just add a blanket. High thread count is essential ;)

There should be options for long and short nighties. A nightgown seems like it should be really long. A camisole is too short if you like to air out, especially for early morning cat-feeding on the balcony. A mid-thigh length nightie is perfect.

i used to sleep in nothing, but my new cat actually sometimes gets UNDER THE COVERS after i fall asleep & i wake up w/ her on top of me! so, i figure that panties & a cami is probably safer. haha

I am a man, but since my teenage I sleep only in long nylon and satin nightgowns. They are far more comfortable than PJ's.Of course I put nothing under my nightgown. The feeling of freedom and the touch of satin and nylon to your skin is really an amazing feeling! Men, who ever tried sleeping in a nightgown wouldl never get back to PJ's
