Here on Apartment Therapy, we talk a lot about ways to make your bedroom a serene and comfortable place. But July is Escapes Month and this would definitely be an escape from anyone's everyday life! We should say that this is not any nest. This nest is located at Treebones in the Big Sur, California. Before you vote, you need to check out the view...

The Treebones Resort in Big Sur has 16 yurts, a guesthouse, campground, and... the human nest! The nest was created by artist Jayson Fann of Big Sur Spirit Garden. If you're nervous about sleeping in a nest, you can "rent the space" for an hour or so to hang out and channel your inner bird!

I couldn't sleep there - might be ok to hang out.
I could definitely sleep there. Or at least I'd try to sleep! I would probably be way too excited!
Hell, yeah! I love it, it's super cool!!
One word for you - spiders.
The concept is great and so is the view.
I would love it, like being in Dinotopia!
Not only would I spend the night but I would do so wearing a pelican costume. This would not only provide the full nest effect but the beak would also act as a safe place to store my snacks.
I REALLY love it.

he he. I would. I have actually. I made a nest for a film my husband and I shot and...slept in it for the film. :)
I am going out to the back yard woods and building one in a tree. I will put a mattress inside. I will sleep there until it snows.
I think the same artist did a similar installation in front of SF city hall - when they went up I always wondered what it'd be like to live in one of those - now I may get to find out!
nope. view will be there when i get up, have a shower, get dressed, and get back into the nest the next day
