Our 1930's apartment has an old fashioned metal-on-metal mechanical bell. When someone presses the doorbell downstairs, and no matter how often we've heard it, the ensuing loud ring can scare you out of the seat of your pants. Perhaps it's time for us to upgrade to something a little more pleasant and jarring, but not generic like typical aftermarket wireless doorbells...
Swann now offers the MP3 DJ Doorbell, which plays music/sounds wirelessly from an SD card, from up to 330 ft away. That means your doorbell could be just about any song or sound effect you can upload onto the doorbell unit.
Store your favorite songs by adding an SD card from 2GB (holds approximately 600 songs) or expand up to a 32GB card (stores up to 10,000 songs) for a wider variety of music. The speaker unit can connect to a computer via the USB port using the included USB cable. It doubles as a USB mass storage device, much like a thumb drive, allowing you to copy music on or off the SD card without a dedicated card reader. The software supplied allows you to edit your favorite songs as well as set the doorbell to play any part of the song when pressed. The easy to use controls look like an MP3 player and allow for intuitive controlling of the doorbell. The speaker unit can also be used as a portable MP3 player via the built-in speaker.
