I've been intrigued by sweater knit pillows for quite a while. When I've seen them in stores and online I'm never sure if they really look great or if I'm just more smitten with the idea. Here's a little roundup of a few cute pillows, but I'm wondering: have you been able to successfully bring sweater knit pillows into your space?
There are a lot of shops and crafters offering hand-knit or recycled sweater pillow covers, and as a true fan of a great knit sweater, snuggling up with a knit pillow really appeals to me. I'm just having a hard time picturing it working on any couch, and in particular, I'm really not sure about bringing in acrylic knits.

I didn't do that with a sweater but I did with an old corduroy shirt that was a sentimental favorite of my DH's but I simply _could not_ wear it anymore (not out of the house, anyway, wink wink). It now has pride of place as a decorative pillow on our bed. I don't know that I'd buy one but to keep a treasure, sure.
I've seen a few prohjects on Ravelry where crafters converted the superlatively colourful sweater designs of Kaffe Fassett into throw pillows. A great way to a hit of colour into a room.
I had knit covered pillows in my living room on the sofa for years and years, always got great compliments on them. The only reason I don't have them now is because my 2 year old has confiscated them for her bed pillows. I can't seem to get them off her bed for more than the 2 hours she is at preschool twice a week. As soon as she comes home, she grabs the pillows and takes them straight back up to her room. /shrug
So, they work, maybe too well!
I have upcycled chunky knit sweaters into pillow covers in the past and I love it! They can feel a bit heavy in the summer, so I sewed them with a zipper. I just cover my summer pillows in sweaters for the winter and store the covers during the warmest months!
