We were doing our usual Swedish real estate stalking and this especially posh hipster home jumped out at us. Using a unique balance of art, fabrics, and a functional division of walkway and entertainment, the end result is a highly personalized entertaining space that doesn't place the attention on the TV, but everything else around it.
We know it's hard to wire into the wall, but the effect certainly pays off here with the wall-mounted HDTV. The contrast of the slick TV frame plays off the darker wooden walls and the media console's white frontal finish adds to the blending of technology into the space.
Keeping the wires off the ground shows the attention to detail when crafting such a free-form space that invites both conversation and a comfy quarters for watching TV after a hard day's work.
Finally, running the surround sound speaker wires against the floor boards and placing the speakers themselves high up in the corner truly complete the integrated look without sacrificing even the least bit of style. Adding a floral wallpaper anchors the seating area and draws eyes towards the art on the wall instead of the corner speakers.
Like it? I think we're gonna go with love on this one. What do you guys think?
