We certainly see our share of wall letters here at Ohdeedoh. They have become such a staple of children's decor that most of our favorite shops carry several different styles in a range of materials. Connor's antique dealer mom, Michelle, reminds us that some of the best things in life are almost free and simplicity rules.
Michelle used standard colored construction paper, a pair of scissors, fishing line and bobby pins to help teach Connor his name. This project is a few of our favorite things (quick, easy, cheap) and it has far greater flexibility than standard wall letters, lending itself to surprise messages, playing with anagrams or celebrating holidays. We are fans of Michelle's freehand letters but lovers of typography can use stencils for a more stylized look.
