Smartphones are a dime a dozen. Unless you have an iPhone or a Crackberry, you are still looking for that oh so elusive perfect phone. There are always things that you'd like your perfect phone to do that your present phone doesn't do. You either love them or hate them or are still stuck in-between. I've had cell phones for a long time, but never really got into the smart phone thing. I wanted to, but there's always something that was lacking. Netbooks aren't any better.
The 01 is a phone that is designed by T3 and I think that it looks pretty good. It's said that tech journalists have a unique outlook on what exactly all of the manufacturers are doing right and doing wrong, and believe me, there's a lot of wrong out there. Needless to say that there are some combinations that just don't work. There is a lot of overpriced junk.
It turns out that TechCrunch is working on a simple and cheap tablet PC. T3 is working the same way on a mobile phone. The 01 has a big touchscreen and no hard buttons. It's got a full Qwerty keyboard that's actually a secondary display screen. It's supposed to have an 8-megapixel camera, but since SonyEricsson announced its 12.1 MP camera phones, it's not that far fetched. I just wonder about the price and if this phone will actually get made. OLED displays are still quite expensive. [via CrunchGear, photos via 01's T3 site]
