OMG! Talk about memories. We had the cube calendar when I was kid. You can barely see it on the upper right hand corner of this photo, on top of our fridge:

The cube calendar belongs to a genre called perpetual calendars. These can be extremely fascinating. In the 1920s, they were common in banks as cylinders in which you turned knobs on both ends to register the day of the week and the month.

My father had a great collection of small perpetual calendars. New varieties are still being made.

OMG - this is my childhood. I wasn't surprised at all to see where this company is based! How many items on this website did we have in my home as I was growing up.

Now I think I'm in the wrong business.

I remember the best phones in the Soviet Union; purple really heavy plastic handsets. Like old Bell phones, but 70's EuroMod...
