With everyone on the Los Angeles team having moved in the past few months, I've have a bad, bad case of moving envy. I don't envy the packing and unpacking; it's the clean fresh start in a new place that I'm jonesing for. I have no reason to move but have got to do something to perk things up in my home. Something cute, easy, and cheap! I stumbled across this idea on The Crafts Department that just might be the answer.
Dipping just the tips of your furniture's legs in Plasti Dip gives it a jolt of color. Plus we like the fact that it'll keep the furniture from scratching the floors (we haven't had a lot of luck with the little felt disks that stick to the bottom of chair legs). It's a small change with a big statement.

The legs look like giant matchsticks! Very cool.
Define cheap - how much would someone need to spend to achieve the same result?
I love those stools where can I find them they would be perfect for my son Saxons bedroom, and the red bottoms look so so cool.
They look like the IKEA Frosta chairs. But it seems they don't sell them anymore. I really wanted some.
This is a very cute idea for adding some interest without getting all cluttery... but I think I'd need to use a colour that wasn't red. I suspect it might just be an Australian thing, but the red reminds me a little too much of those bananas they sell partly covered in red wax!
@pinky speedway -- it's about $10!
@ rockellie I've seen stools like those at Home Goods. Just a warning, we had those stools as a kid and they were made very cheaply. They weren't very sturdy and neither were the ones that I saw at Home goods.
