Come January, the Obamas will have a new address, but it won't be all that far from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The current First Family is moving to the Kalorama neighborhood of Washington DC, about two miles from The White House.

The family is renting the recently renovated 8,200 square foot home from Joe Lockhart, former White House press secretary under Bill Clinton. It has nine bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, and while it's no White House lawn, there is extensive outdoor space: formal gardens, two tiers of flagstone terraces, and a gated courtyard.

The Obamas announced in March that they planned to stay in DC so that younger daughter Sasha could finish high school.
