•A DIY half globe clock from Woman's Day. Big statement for a simple concept. Check out full instructions here.
• Craftster member slone2601's pendant lights. Check it out here.
• Junk Market Style's DumpsterDivingDiva created this hanging planter out of globes from thrift stores and yard sales. I'm not sure that it would hold up very well outside, but it would be perfect for indoor plants. Check out her full post here.
• Cathe Holden of Just Something I Made added a girly twist to her decorative globe bowl by decoupaging it with old book pages (aha! another use for old pages) and glitter. Check out her post here.
• Z Gallerie's globe mobile. I can also see this being a totally doable DIY.
• T.O.M.T.'s globe clock.
What other cool reuses have you spotted for these trendy objects?

Howard Butcher Bloc...
I made a lampshade out of a globe once...just the northern hemisphere, though.
Oh I've been dying to make a pendant lamp out of an old globe I have. I would only take off the very lower section though not half it. Love love love these ideas.
It's strange that globes don't do much for me despite maps being pretty much the only kind of graphical wall art I can tolerate.
I'm loving the faded pastel-y look of the bowls, but the last thing I need is more stuff to make space for :D
Ooh, forget the globes, I love the idea of a giant wall clock!
