With the holiday season here, you better believe we're gonna be keeping our eye out for stores, near and far, that will carry gifts we'll want to give to loved ones. A new clean, adorable and warm shop for gifts and more has opened up on the East Side of Austin, and we're mega excited.
Opened by Nina Burke Gordon just a few months ago, Take Heart is poised to become a favorite spot for Austinites looking for thoughtful gifts, home decor and items for the person that are a heady mix of vintage, modern, handmade, local and more.
Housed in a gorgeous retail space in the modern building built by local architects Bercy Chen, the shop isn't just filled with lovely items, it's lovely, too. The shelving and storage units for Take Heart were built by Nina's husband, local Austin woodworker Brian David Johnson, who also has some items in the shop.
You'll find everything from great tabletop decor to cards, soaps, jewelry, vases and more, all curated by Nina's sharp design eye. All together the place is refreshing, sweet, subtle and enjoyable.
