You read that right! German automaker Mercedes-Benz, has teamed up with furniture manufacturer Formitalia to create its own line of luxury furniture, which debuted at I Salone in Milan this April.
According to the press release (via Autoblog), "the furniture collection was developed in collaboration with designers from Formitalia, [and] comprises one sofa, a chaise longue, a dining room table, various chairs, a sideboard, a shelf unit with integrated home theatre system, a chest of drawers and a bed."
The furniture will be made of materials found in Mercedes-Benz automobiles, including glass, wood, and metal, and will be available in high-end furniture showrooms beginning October 2012. To read the full press release, click over to Autoblog.com.
