This one is for the parents out there who want to give their kids a taste of the tablet experience without giving them your real (and expensive) tablet. Or maybe you just need a handy spot to leave notes for the kids, husband, wife, or roommates without the waste of a notepad. Imagine the offspring of an old timer's Etch-A-Sketch and a Kindle, and that's basically the gist of the Boogie Board Jot, a digital sketch pad/notebook which only uses power to erase the screen (50,000 erases between coin cell battery replacement)...a digital dry erase notepad!
Available in 4.5", 8.5", and 9.7" sizes (the smallest and largest models unveiled at CES last week). Perhaps most exciting is the Boogie Board Sync 9.7 eWriter, with expanded features, including compatiblity with Windows and MAC OS, alongside the option to work with applicaions like Evernote, OCR, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop (artists can tote this when the Wacom or iPad seem better left at home).

I would buy this but i don't see an option for emailing or otherwise transferring what you write to another format or device?
The Boogie Board Sync 9.7 eWriter, which was revealed at CES last week, addresses this very issue. The new model allows users to save pages onto a microSD card and then transfer files directly to a computer, tablet, smartphone wirelessly via Bluetooth. Unfortunately the model I handled was a demo prototype, and there's no release date/price info except "sometime in 2013".
