We all know that nothing gets the kids more excited than a trip to the park. A good park serves as a welcome oasis in a desert world full of rules and restrictions. Where else are kids encouraged to run, jump, get dirty and basically just cut loose? We all have our favorite parks, but why not challenge yourself this summer to go an extra block or two and find a new one?
The folks over at KaBoom! have issued the 2011 Park-A-Day Summer Challenge. They are looking for parents who will take their kids to as many local parks and playgrounds as they can this summer and report on their experience. The information is added to the Map of Play, a cool interactive map that not only helps parents find good local playspaces but also helps to identify areas that need them. If you think you and you family are up to the challenge, sign up today.
