Let's face it, 90 percent of what makes a photo card great, is the photo itself. If you are still struggling with some cute ideas for this year's photo holiday card, we've got a few thought starters for you.
1. Is your newborn wee enough to stuff into an oversized stocking? OK,"stuff" is perhaps the wrong word. Babycenter has some better ideas in their How to Take an Adorable Holiday Card Photo at Every Age article which is definitely worth the read.
2. You can't go wrong with photo props. Toss together some cutouts and tape them to a sturdy stick. Try Santa (hat and beard), Frosty (carrot and top hap) or Rudolf (red nose and antlers) for starters.
3. Hit the dollar store for durable holiday gear before sending the kids out in the snow — and let the festive fun begin.

And don't think that the photo card has to feature your children's faces... I used a "jumping" photo of my kids a few years ago and people still tell me it was their favorite picture of the kids.
