We've been talking up Pantone's color of the year for 2012, Tangerine Tango, in many aspects of home decoration. But we've yet to tackle this question: is tangerine a good option for a baby or kid's room?
One great aspect to this color is that it's gender neutral. On the down side, it's definitely a statement color, so when tastes change it might fall out of favor.
How would you use Tangerine Tango in a child's room? As merely an accent or a major part of the palette?

Shaw's Original Fir...
Gosh, I hate it when I'm choosing fashionable colors... but yes, I'm planning a girl's nursery with mousey grey wall, a mango accent wall and a hot pink wardrobe. I've been planning it before Pantone announced its color of the year, but still... annoyed.
What I love about this color is how sunny it is. The room faces north, so not much natural light. I love orange but not "Halloween orange", and love yellow, so yes, mango came to my mind very early. I also love the look of orange and pink put together as accent color (in small dose).
I love orange. I had an orange room as a teen, everyone loved it.
Hell yes! I'm tired of seeing grey nurseries.
My daughter's bedroom has been that shade for a few years. It's Behr Pumpkin Spice, and we love it.

Yes!! We painted our twin boys' room (they're now 17 months old today) in "Papaya" by Sherwin Williams. We have fantastic bright and soft greens accents - it looks fabulous. I can't figure out how to attach a picture, though...
I thought it was so funny when this was chosen as Pantone's color of the year. It's been the pop accent in my son's room for over 4 years. He even had an Orange Tango crib. Here's an evolution of his bedroom from home office to nursery to big boy room.
Of course, his space has again evolved and the Orange Tango accents are now being woven into a shared space for he and his soon-to-arrive sister. Four years running and I still love the color.
