I've had some serious bedroom indecision over the past few years. I've switched up my bedding three times, the future wall color twice, and had countless storage changes and furniture rearrangings simultaneously in my head and in the room. So for my January Cure project, I've decided to commit to something big for the bedroom — a DIY tufted headboard.
After checking out a ton of tufted headboard tutorials, I chose this one from Jenny of Little Green Notebook. Not only is it pretty and detailed, she has the ingenious idea to use pegboard instead of plywood (no drilling!). And since pegboard was my project for last year's January Cure, I thought this would be quite a fitting DIY. I'm thinking an ivory or slightly golden linen for the fabric, because the walls will (hopefully soon!) be BM Bold Blue and my poppy-hued coverlet already adds a color punch.
Without further ado, here is my before photo, with a cameo by the ever-present Dante the cat:
Anyone else doing a project for their bedroom?
