It’s no surprise that some of our favorite designers have taken the time to produce truly inventive task lamps. Designers know the importance of good lighting - and task lights are the lifesavers of lamps. Portable and slim, these task lights do more than help illuminate the desk, kitchen, or bedside – they each make for an inspired accessory that would make any design aficionado salivate. From the product line of the always-classic Ralph Lauren, to the forward-thinking works of Karim Rashid – we’ve gathered up some of these designer’s task lamps to view as inspiration

I have a LIM L desktop lamp by Haworth, new in box, that I need to sell. It's LED, very sleek, and black. It lists for $525. The specs and image can be found here:

I'm located in Philly and can deliver it within Center City and nearby 'burbs. Email me at sevenfoursevendesign AT hotmail if interested.
I saved up and bought the Talak table lamp from Artemide. Its the most expensive piece of 'furniture' I own but I love it every time I look at it and know I will always feel that way. I'm currently considering splurging on a Tolomeo Mega - I've coveted it for about 6 years but now that I don't have any pendant lights in my home it's somewhat easier to rationalise dropping that kind of money on a lamp.
Hm. It seems that I like the $3k lamp. Well done, me. >.>
