Task Lighting for $50-$100

There are uber cheapo task lights (IKEA or Walmart, anyone?) and criminally expensive (but lust-worthy) task lights. In between is a small but solid niche market of lamps that will cost you no less than $50 but no more than $100. Welcome to that world.

  1. Image 1 shows a vintage red metal desk lamp, $52, from Etsy member Fishbone Deco alongside a Ledu professional fluorescent/incandescent swing arm, clamp-on lamp from Amazon.com, $91.73. There is an outlet at the base so you can plug in other electronics. This lamp extends to 40" and comes with both a circular fluorescent lamp and an incandescent lamp. You have an option to turn on either, one at a time, or both together.
