Kids say and do the darndest things and even though we all have smart phones, video cameras or a recording device of some kind near our fingertips that doesn't always help you remember the little things or words they say. This memory box however is the perfect way to keep tabs on who said what and have a chuckle a few years down the road.
The one and only Cheri of I Am Momma Hear Me Roar was guesting over at Tatertots and Jello and presented this simple craft that can help busy moms keep tabs on those sweet moments you don't ever want to forget.
Small dividers were created and placed to separate children's names inside the box. Blank cards are added and when something great happens, albeit a situation or something said, it's recorded and tucked away. It would be great fun to sit down and go through when your children are old enough to date, or just to enjoy a fun family night. Likewise, it would also be great to sit down together as parents, just to recharge and remember why you love your children so much, even if they just destroyed the playroom and painted your walls with their dinner.
Check out the full tutorial on putting one together for your own home, or a gift for your next baby shower (does anyone else feel like they have 8 to attend in the next month?) over at Tatertots and Jello.

Cute idea, but I am afraid I would never remember to use it! LOL!

Cute! I bought a "kids say the darndest things" mini journal a couple of years ago, and it had too many blanks to fill in...haven't used it much. Blank cards might be better for me. I also have to go through my Facebook and Twitter posts and compile them somewhere. I post funny things there a lot.
I have an awesome little book I bought on Amazon called "One Line a Day: A Five Year Memory Book" (I don't work for them or anything, I just really like it!). It's a great way to remember some of the little things, and it's easy to remember to write just one sentence every day. I like the note card idea but in my house the cards would get played with and end up all over the place.
I use a great little book/journal called 'My Quotable Kid'. I have one for each of my kids. I have given a few as gifts too. I like the memory box idea though.
Oh, I like this. A recipe box would be easier for me than a book. Plus, you could record more than just quotes.
LOL, I love that quote in the pic. I guess they can scratch yo-yo off the shopping list.
