We admit that we can be real suckers for multipurpose furniture. taTu, designed by Stephen Burks, is a coffee table, stool, or side table made up of serving tray, bowl, and basket modules. Get all that?
The coffee table breaks down into a large tray, bowl and basket; side table becomes a medium tray, bowl and trash can. Only the stool is a one-piece object that breaks down no further but provides seating to match the tables. The taTu line is one of Artecnica's Design with Conscience projects, employing production methods that are humane and environmentally friendly. The tables come in a polished white or red powder coating over galvanized steel wire, for use indoors and out. The coffee table is priced at $550.
