It's always nice to unwind, unplug and spend some time outdoors without the constant checking of emails and text messages. Just because we can't take a breather and drop all communication devices (as much as we love them) whenever we want, doesn't mean we can't dress up our tech to remind ourselves of nature and the outdoors. Here are our favorite tech accessories and gadgets decked out in wood.
Alma Table: The Alma table is an acrylic frame filled with wood scraps that create a very interesting, textured body on an otherwise smooth table. The design of the table shows how materials can be repurposed to create beautiful things even many different forms.
Wood iPhone Camera Case: You don't look as silly as taking photos with an iPad, but it still doesn't feel super cool to be shooting photos with an iPhone either. That's why we like Photojojo's latest iPhone case that is engraved with an old school camera onto the wood. It comes in bamboo or walnut and will definitely improve your street cred.
Outline Chair: An elegant chair that focuses on shape and material.
Substrata Wood iPad Case: These remind us of pretty leather bound portfolios, except they are wooden and are iPad cases. Still, they're quite pretty aren't they? The fact that they unfold to become a sturdy stand is also nice.
iTree: This speaker system made by KMKG studio takes advantage of a hollowed out tree to create a special HiFi sound. Each iTree can be customized to each person's liking from type of wood to length and type of docking station. Now that's a real work of art to have in the house.
Bamboo keyboard: This keyboard is handcarved from biodegradable bamboo, so not only is it beautiful but very eco-friendly as well. We wouldn't mind working off of one of these, compatible with PC or Mac computers.
