It's not always easy to buy tech for your parents or someone who's slightly older than your usual friends. What do you get? You've probably heard the tech complaints already from your parents, so you might already know what they need. Here are our ideas.1. iPad
Although I don't have one myself, and won't get one until they get some more decent hardware, it's hard to find faults with the iPad as a gift for your parents. It's perfect for someone who consumes media, checks their email, the iPad is the perfect computer. The touchscreen makes everything intuitive, allowing both the young and the old use this tablet easily.
2. Point-and-Shoot Camera
If there's one thing that parents like, it's taking photos. Depending on how technologically adept they are, you can either get a simple point-and-shoot camera or an entry-level DSLR.
5. No Gadgets
Gadgets have a limited shelf life, so I'd stay away from most USB gadgets and gizmos. They'll probably end up in storage or in the rubbish bin after a while.
