Unless you're ready to make your own Sun Jar lights, getting some interesting lights for you backyard parties isn't going to be an easy thing, especially when you're on a limited budget.
Turner is a solar-charged LED light. It works very simply. You simply turn it around so that it can soak up the sun during the day. Turn it around and it lights up during the night. The designers of Turner mention that it does not attract any insects while it's lit up. It was designed in Denmark by Onoe-Design for the Chinese company Bockia specializing in solar lighting. Although there is no word on pricing or availability, it looks like the lamps will be on sale soon. Alternatively, the lamp can also use a AAA battery as well as it's internal rechargeable one.
Santa & Cole's OCO is slightly different. It's a lamp that also uses LEDs, but it comes in three varying heights. The nice part of this lamp is that it can be stuck into the grass. There are also bases available for use on different types of settings. It's a green product, meaning that no chemical paints were used. Also, there are no screws needed to assemble it: everything just pops in place. The lamp uses 3 LEDs to give a warm glow.
