This might not be news to many of you but it dawned on me very recently - when giving my kids sweet treats, I find the smallest servings I possibly can. First of all, tiny things are just cute because of their size.
But the real reason, of course, is that I want to minimize the amount of sugar (and possibly other not so healthy ingredients) in their little bodies. They will complain if I cut things into smaller pieces; they know the cookie was once bigger. But I find that if I buy bite-sized treats, they don't fuss even if they're getting a lot less. Favorites include dark chocolate chips, sweet tarts, and bite-sized cookies like these I saw over at Not Martha.
Do you use the same "trick" with your kids?
