Shaw's Original Fir...
I want Young House Love. The blog is a daily read for me, and I seriously cannot wait to get my copy of their book.
Most Interior Design books are long on photography inspiration, short on practical advice and process information. For non-designers wondering how much they can tackle themselves (and how to do it right) OR if they need a designer's help (and how that process should work) I would recommend the Kindle book: How to Design Your Perfect Interior by Gail Doby, ASID.
It can be purchased here: http://www.amazon.com/Design-Your-Perfect-Interior-ebook/dp/B009F5EYOE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351697515&sr=8-1&keywords=How+to+Design+Your+Perfect+Interior
Here is a paraphrase of the book summary:
Because we love design and know that the key to success is making all the pieces work together just right, we wrote this book to help you organize your thoughts and prepare you for the process. Whether you plan to tackle your own project, get a little design advice from friends, neighbors or online resources, or hire a professional interior designer to navigate the hundreds or even thousands of decisions you will make, preparation is vital.
Before you start your design project, you will want to know:
· The most common and costly mistakes to avoid
· What to watch for when buying online
· Questions you need to answer before you make any design decisions
· Eight steps to success
· Where to go when you need help and how to select the best service provider for your project
I hope this is helpful for dreamers, DIYers and those just daunted by a project or the prospect of hiring an Interior Designer.

I'm looking forward to getting Young House Love too! I'd also like to read From Animal House to Our House, though I don't know if that's really an art and design title.

All of the books from "Apartment Therapy" because this is the best blog on the market about living in a small space. Three years ago I just gave up a bigger place (house) and now live in a small place becuase of an unexpected disability.
Most apartment books only look at the "space of living in an apartment. That said it would be nice if someone would write a book about "HOW" to live in an apartment when you are used to living in your own home. Sometimes the noise in an apartment can be "lethel" and we live in a nice place and do not wieh to start a war with the new neighbors...a book or two about readjusting after moving from house to apartment in a "rural" area. No big city; just a "big Town"
TYP0's to the above statement. Sorry. The worst: "we live in a nice place and do not "WISH" to start a war with the new neighbors.
"a book or two about "Re-adjusting"
