Good Questions

Q: I'm moving into a new apartment with great bones but also these tragic doors and trim from the 70's that my wonderful landlady thinks are beautiful and doesn't want me to paint.

I think I can add fabric with water and starch or use removable wallpaper, but the problem then becomes what to do with the trim that surrounds the doors and runs throughout the apartment (which again, I cannot paint). I can live with the not-so-hot wood trim but the doors are giving me nightmares. So how can I recover the doors and leave the trim as is, but still make it look fab? What say you?
