Shaw's Original Fir...
Several of them are really beautiful...and several of them look as though they were built to do no more than open a bottle of wine. To each his own...
I really like most of these, and agree with I Love Upstate.
I like most of these, but hate the SUV-sized refrigerators pictured. I suppose that's just personal preference, though.
What sort of plant is on the table in the first photo? And how long would it keep? The article doesn't mention it.
Those look like cut lilies to me. If that is correct, they should last about a week, if the water is refreshed every day.
Also agree with I Love Upstate. These look huge for NYC or did I assume city but it really included state.
My favorite NYC one is not included, small but USED, I thought it was in the home of the parents of one of the women who post from LA.....that should narrow it down.....
The fifth one has that amazing stove and extra large sub zero but I don't see much counter space seems disproportional. I do love the idea of a fireplace in a kitchen and making the dining area into a cookbook library I would be afraid I would never leave the house.
How do I convince my neighbor to let me break through to his apartment so I can add the square footage needed to have one of these kitchens? Any advice?

If you look at the links - some of these aren't in NYC nor are they in apartments.
"Those look like cut lilies to me."
Yup - Can't stand lilies, much less in a kitchen...
...their overpowering smell reminds me of funerals.
Huh. I'd take any one of these really.
These are all great kitchens. However, commercial refrigeration in a private residence is ridiculous.
sassydo - was it Abby's Mom's house? She did a whole house tour here:

and a kitchen tour here:

They're a couple of my favorites, too:)

except for the third kitchen which is from a home in Connecticut (I apologize for the error in calling it a New York kitchen) the rest are all in New York City homes.
#5 is close to my dream kitchen. however, in my dream, there is more counterspace to the left of the sink. i'll just dream that was left out of the photos.
Does anyone know how tall the backsplash area should be - that is how much space between the couter and the bottom of the upper cabinets? These all look a bit different to me in that arena.
Lots of them seem either too rustic or a bit too cool. What a pity!
