"Love Me Tender" Clothespin Projects by Martin Huberman

Repetition is one of my favorite design tricks. When you have a lot of something it can transcend into a greater whole. This is especially true when the something is especially cheap and readily available. In his work with Normal Studio, architect and designer Martin Huberman used a humble clothespin — a lot of humble clothespins — to create some amazing installations as part of the Love Me Tender project.

1 - 3 Love Me Tender installation — clothespins hanging on a near-invisible nylon mesh and arranged by color.
4 Ioio and Ieie, Tender Lamps produced by La Feliz.
5 Tenderama, a DIY concept developed for the Museum of Latin American Art giftshop.
