Tension Rod Hallway House

Ikat Bag

We feature LiEr at ikat bag frequently, but it's only because her ideas and designs are so darn cute. While you might know her as the cardboard lady, she's also a fantastic seamstress and creates incredible projects for kids. Check out her "hallway house," a play house you can install in and remove from your hallway about 30 seconds.

With a few tension rods, some fabric, and, of course, some sewing skills, you can make one of these convertible houses, too. By moving the rods around, you can change the shape, making a full flat front facade (say that 10 times fast), a flat roof, or even a peaked roof. LiEr shows different configurations and gives instructions on how to make it all on her blog.
